REQUIREMENTS

At Camp Cypress Dog Retreat, the safety and well-being of all our beloved fur babies is our top priority. To ensure a happy, healthy environment for every dog in our care, we have a few important requirements in place. These guidelines are designed to protect not just your furry friend, but also all the other dogs enjoying their stay with us. By following to these standards, we can provide a safe, enjoyable experience for all our four-legged guests, giving you peace of mind while you're away.

Records must be reviewed by CCDR staff prior to arrival. No dogs are allowed on CCDR property without records being reviewed and approved.

Dogs must be housetrained.

ALL DOGS OVER 6 MONTHS OF AGE MUST BE SPAYED/NEUTERED.

REQUIRED VACCINATIONS (must be up to date):

Rabies – We accept one-year and three-year vaccinations. Records must state if the vaccination is three year.

Distemper/Parvo - We accept one-year and three-year vaccinations. Records must state if the vaccination is three year. This vaccination may be listed as DAPP, DHPP, DHAP, DHLP, DA2LPPPv, etc.

Bordetella – We only accept six-month Bordetella vaccinations. If boarding date is more than six months after Bordetella vaccination was given, the Bordetella vaccination must be updated. Some vets do this vaccination once a year, however we do not make any exceptions to this requirement. All dogs must have this vaccination within six months of boarding.

FLEA/TICK PREVENTION:

All dogs MUST provide proof of flea/tick prevention. We do not accept flea collars or “natural” flea/tick products. Topicals are accepted, but not preferred. Topicals must be applied at least 48 hours before a dog arrives for boarding or daycare. Any dog with topical residue on his/her coat will not be allowed to play with other dogs until all residue has been absorbed.

PUPPIES

Puppies must be AT LEAST 16 weeks of age. They must have completed ALL vaccinations, including Rabies, at least two weeks prior to boarding/daycare. This is for their protection. No exceptions will be made to this requirement.

We had a vacation planned for a while, but no one to take care of my “special needs” standard poodles. We contacted Jolie (she has been a fb friend since before I moved back to Louisiana), met with them several times, and we’re VERY pleased that my dogs we’re treated like family.
